US--- IRVINE --- CHILI'S

6:14pm
I was home watching Bones on a random day and they kept playing the "Chilis, 20 dollar dinner for two!" commercial.. the food looked really amazing on the TV so i decided to come and give it a try :)

The 20 dollar dinner menu came with one appetizer, and two dinner entrees.

The mexican eggrolls weren't included in the 20 dollar dinner for two menu, but i ordered it anyways. For some reason the entree came out smaller than expected.. i remember it being bigger than this.. or probably the kitchen was just really packed that day...

The fried cheesesticks, however, was on the 20 dollar dinner menu :)

I got the Chicken Fajitas.. my first time trying this sort and food and it was actually pretty good because i love beans. My friend didn't like it though, he complained they put too much beans in that dish..
I guess nothing could go wrong with the half rack of baby back ribs.. we finished this dish rather quickly....
another happi day :)

US--- COSTA MESA--- CALIFORNIA SHABU SHABU

2:15PM
This place is pretty cool, they have some video games and a resting area on the left side of the room for guests. My first impression of this place was pretty good, until our food came.

The most shocking thing to me is that the broth is CLEAR, it's just pure water. Seriously if i wanted to eat something like that i could've just cook this thing at home! Anyhow, we got the choice beef for 14 bucks, and our order took forever. I'd only give this place one star or .5 star if possible.

US---TUSTIN---RA SUSHI

Today was a random girls chit chat day with my middle school best friend. Since it happened to be the Orange county restaurant week, we decided to go somewhere on the restaurant weeek menu.

We went to RA SUSHI for their $10 lunch set. The first course- Miso soup was okay, but i didn' bother to take a picture of it...

Second Course California- Roll Combo was pretty small with lots of rice, but i guess i couldn't complain since the whole set is only $10!

Third Course Viva Las Vegas Roll was actually pretty good, and big too.

"kani kama crab & cream cheese rolled in rice & seaweed, lightly tempura battered & topped
with spicy tuna, kani kama crab mix & sliced lotus root; finished with a sweet eel sauce & spinach tempura bits"

Third Course Bara Chirashi Bowl was supppperrr big. I share this with my girl friend we still had some left to pack home...
"tuna, salmon, yellowtail, shrimp, avocado & cucumber with Asian green vegetables, mixed with poki sauce; served over rice"

We ended our dinner with the traditional japanese green tea ice cream dessert. I guess we both didn't want the chocolate gelato.. haha...

US--- IRVINE--- JJ BAKERY

I usually just come in here for a quick to-go order, but since i had time to spare.. i decided to dine- in instead. I got the lunch JJ bakery chicken dish 雞排飯, which came with a choice of black tea or green ($7.75).

I used to get tea-station all the time, but after the annoying experiences ( can't swipe card if it's under 20 dollars.. and the annoying female cashier keeps asking for cash even though i ordered more than 20 bucks), my loyalty switched to JJ bakery.

Honestly JJ serves the same kind of food as tea-station, but with bigger portion and better service. If i remember correctly, the chicken pai fan from Tea Station is about $10 now.. for the portion of food at tea station... definitely NOT. WORTH. IT.

US--- NEWPORT BEACH--- FLEMING'S PRIME STEAKHOUSE & WINE BAR

Been here twice, but never really liked the place.. There's something about this place that stops me from coming here again...

9:43pm

Like i said, i've been here before but there was just something about it that makes me feel uncomfortable here. The environment? the waiter? I just can't really tell. But after this visit, i was pretty sure it's the waiter and the annoying service here that annoys the hell outta me.

One late night, i decided to give Flemings another try. The earliest reservation time i could find on open table was 9.30, so i made reservation for 9.30pm.

I got the Sliced Filet Mignon $19.95 on the right, and the New Zealand Petite Lamb Chops $20.95 on the left.

We came for the dessert Chocolate Lava Cake (a little over $10.. forgot how much it was lols. ) The dessert just makes everything worth it :)

US--- Newport Beach--- CANALETTO RISTORANTE VENETO

Everyone calls this day Valentines day,  but i call it a Thursday :P.

Walked in this place at 8:13pm on this very special day. I booked the reservation at least two weeks ahead just to make sure they have seats available. I wish i could book an earlier time but i had class and didn't get off till 7pm.

This place was packed. I see couples everywhere, and waiters and waitresses busy taking orders or delivering food. It didn't take long for them to seat us even though we got there a little earlier than our reservation time- 8pm.

The busser came over quickly and served us bread, and our waitress handed us our menu shortly after...

Ossobuco Con Risotto Allo Zafferano $37.99
grass-fed veal shank braised in marsala wine with porcini and shiitake mushrooms; served with saffron risotto.

Coe Secoe E Amarone $20.99
risotto with beef tenderloin, porcini mushrooms, amarone wine and parmigiano-reggiano.

Colombina Al Cioccolato
dark chocolate mousse with white and dark chocolate shavings; served on fresh raspberry and kiwi sauces

I told the waittress i like something like the molten chocolate cake, something that's chocolately and melts.. she recommended this. This is a good mixture of sweet and sour, i was surprised that the kiwi went so well with the mouse itself since it's sour...

I love this place <3

US--- IRVINE--- O FINE JAPANESE CUISINE

My co-workers loved this place; apparently my manager tried this place before with one of his customers. So, for the end of the year celebration... they all voted for this place.

I actually had NO IDEAAA what we ordered that day, since my manager ordered everything, but this dish was pretty amazing, this thin beef dish was delicious and super tender... the only down side of it was that they only had four piece of meat on a plate.. i wish there was more...

Another amazing dish, with tempura on the inside....

The Udon noodle was gigantic! it shocked everyone when they brought it out to the table.. it was at least three times the size of normal udons served in restaurants...

Overall this place serves pretty decent food.. the green tea ice cream was very strong and super yummy.. the only thing i hate about this place is that everything is so small.. i feel like the portion isn't worth the price....
