US--NAPA VALLEY AND SAN FRAN :)

NAPA/ SIX FLAGS

August 2nd
12:02pm @ Red Lobster
Lobster pizza was okay, lots of meat. Noodle was flavorless and way too oily. I'd probably wont go back even if i could.

The Dip and Dots, on the other hand, was amazingly good <3 except a lil too exp. But it is Six flags.. i guess i cant complain :P

 August 4th, 2012
1:10AM @ Napa.

After K picked me up, we went to safeway got bunch of wine, sat and talked the rest of the night. I think i slept at like uhh.. 2AM?? It was my first time at Safeways, it's like Target in Irvine. They have everything, from groceries to wine to frozen food.

7:46AM, i got up.  The place was huge, like a mansion, with three rooms two bathrooms on the top floor, and one additional big room on the second. Since K was still sleeping, i took the liberty of walking around and exploring the place :P. I loved the place, the fresh air, and the sun, and the environment.. I could see part of the vineyard from the front door....
Since the whole place was basically "his", he didn't have to park at a parking space...

I guess i shouldn't be surprised that he left the junk we ate last night.. including the wine... on the table...

The safeway wines.. we got six bottles and drank one on the first night :)

The beautiful view on our way out.. this is all part of the Teucer Territory :)...

10:40AM Off to "Gott's". There weren't much people there but there were signs  everywhere in the store saying " Avoid the noon rush!Come for breakfast 7-11AM"... and we did exactly that :))

We got espresso shake for 5.99, Ahi Burger for 14.99, garlic fries for 3.99 and a large coffee for 2 bucks. The total came up to thirty bucks.

I'd say it's not that pricey.. for this kind oishi tasting burger.. it's worth it :)

11:33AM, my first stop- Robert Mondavi. After a while all vineyards just look the same to me. Robert Mondavi tours were pretty popular i guess.. there were a couple people signed up for the early tour when we got there. Thankfully we didn't wait long for the Tour to begin. Our Tour guide was this really chill old dude who worked at that vineyard for a long time. He mentioned something about all vineyard owners all managed to live past 90 years old because wine is good for your heart.

He did mention that the only down side of drinking that much wine is that it destroys your voice. That's why all heavy drinkers tend to have hoarse voices. He also joked that the only vineyard owner who died before age of 90 died from  an accident- he fall off his horse during his horse ride.

This is just one of the barrels they kept in the building. Something about the humidity and the technology they use to keep the wine taste as good as it is. Each barrels were carfully dated with labels on them, making it easier for them to track their inventory.
It was pretty chilly there... they kept the temperature pretty low to ensure the quality of their wine...

at the end of the tour, they gave us this menu to look over and pick the kind of wine we wanted to try... :)

The tour was absolutely fascinating, i learned a lot from that tour... would definitely love to go there again if given the chance :)
